THE COMMERCIAL VIEW
What this route is designed to address
A non-standard trading history, ownership structure or bank decline does not itself determine the result. We examine the underlying business, assets, contracts, source of funds and realistic route to repayment. All normal identity, compliance and underwriting checks still apply.
Conditions worth exploring
- Short or uneven trading record with supporting evidence
- Bank-declined or adverse-credit cases with a clear explanation
- New SPVs backed by experienced sponsors and viable assets or contracts
What to prepare first
- Explain the bank decline or credit issue
- Document the current trading position
- Show assets, contracts and sponsor capacity
- Set out a credible exit or refinancing route
Non-status means a wider commercial assessment, never an exemption from due diligence.
Points to clarify early
Does non-status mean no credit check?+
No. Credit, ownership, financial and compliance information can all form part of underwriting.
Can a new SPV qualify?+
A new SPV can be assessed when its sponsors, project, contracts, capital contribution and repayment source can be evidenced.
